CIII Meeting of Central Bank Governors

Last 19 and 20 May, the CIII Meeting of Central Bank Governors of the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies, was held in San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina. The Meeting began with the welcoming remarks given by Mr. Federico Sturzenegger, Governor of Banco Central de la República Argentina. After that, attendees participated in different sessions related to the following topics:  World Economic and Financial Outlook; Financial Regulation: a Look Forward; Topics under Discussion at the G20; Digitalization and Financial Inclusion; Monetary Policy Reaction to External Shocks; and Optimum Management of Central Bank Reserves. These sessions were complemented with the presentation of the paper that won the Central Bank Award “Rodrigo Gómez”, 2016 edition. Also, within this framework, the meetings of CEMLA’s Board of Governors and Assembly took place.
