Course on Household Financial Surveys: Sampling, Micro-econometrics and Other Relevant Considerations

  • CONTENT:
    The course will discuss aspects of sampling and will also look at a diverse range of considerations concerning the making of surveys, collection of data, training and control of interviewers, review and quality of data, and control of non-responses (weight and imputation) and inferences in cases of complex surveys.
  • Objective:
    Provide a wide look at the methods used for making surveys in households, with a particular focus on financial surveys.
  • AIMED AT:
    Officials from central banks dedicated to making and analyzing financial surveys in households, and for researchers in areas or departments of research that investigate household financial decisions: saving, credit, insurance, participation in formal financial sector, among others.
