  • DATE:
    October 24-26, 2017, Montevideo, Uruguay.
  • Deadline registration date:
    September 23, 2017.
  • CO-SPONSORS:

  • CONTENT:
Its aimed to the identification of the differences between the Balance of Payments and Rest of the World Accounts of the National Accounts System, the factors explaining the existence of such differences, and the measures to be taken to achieve the consistency of both statistical systems. To this end, the participants would be asked to make a presentation on the situation in which their countries find themselves in this area. Those countries that are already working on the reconciliation of both statistics, would present the progress they have reached so far, and further steps to be taken; while those who are in the initial stages of identifying the problem would present their work program, if they have one.
  • Objective:
Exchange of experiences in identifying the situation of the countries of the region as to achieving methodological and measurement consistency between Balance of Payments and Rest of the World Account.
  • AIMED AT:
Professionals of Latin American and Caribbean Central Banks and other institutions, with extensive experience in the generation of balance of payments and/or national accounts statistics, and with knowledge of the methodological guidelines recommended in the corresponding manuals. Given that the topic of the seminar corresponds to both balance of payments and national accounts statistical areas, we believe that the participation of officials from both of them could turn out to be very useful.
