Course Advanced Macroeconomic Forecasting: hands-on course and roundtable

    The event has two components: (i) a hands-on course and (ii) a roundtable. The course will have training components and a forecast module with mixed frequency models. The roundtable will be an exchange of experiences of the central banks of the region.
  • Objective:
    The course will provide participants with a review of advanced topics on the formulation of macroeconomic forecasts and will expose participants to the models used by central banks in the region.
    The course is designed for experienced economists and statisticians from central banks, involved in the formulation of macroeconomic forecasts for their institutions. Participants must have academic training in a relevant field (economics, mathematics, statistics, etc.) or equivalent experience and good knowledge of quantitative instruments.
    English (without simultaneous interpretation).
