  • CONTENT:
    International models and standards of document management for central banks. Electronic documents: creation, access, protection and preservation. Systems of information management at Banco de la República, Banco de España, and Deutsche Bundesbank. Information management tools. Transparency and public information access laws and its impact in the document management. Importance of historical archives of central banks in the economic history research.
  • Objective:
    Share experiences and projects about document management given the new challenges in the environment among the participating Institutions. Thus, among others: the recent laws for transparency and information access, and the technological advances and changes which may support an enhanced management but also threat the preservation of institutional memory. In this sense, it is expected that participants perform brief presentations about ongoing projects or initiatives in their institutions and be able to participate actively in the discussions during the meeting, in particular with a strategic view and a medium to long-term perspective.

    Heads or responsibles of document management and historical archives areas at CEMLA's members.
